Skills Recognition for teachers
With the increase of VET-in-Schools programs, many teachers need to have the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAA40104. This certificate is a requirement in meeting the AQTF Standards when you deliver and assess vocational training. As a result we have created a "Fast Track program" for High School Teachers. To be eligible for this program teachers must have the following:
- Have recent teaching experience in a high school environment (within the last two years)
- Provide a certified copy of Bachelor of Education or Graduate Diploma of Education
- Provide a certified copy of your teacher registration in your State Authority
- Provide a third party report your Head of Department and qualified Cert IV TAA supervisor at school confirming your competency against specific units in the Cert IV TAA
- Answer the underpinning knowledge questions
- Provide some other evidence to meet additional requirements as per our Evidence List which is provided at the first interview.
The time to complete the program is usually 2-3 visits and about three weeks. We visit you at times to suit so you do not need to organise relief where possible.
