This qualification is designed to cover workers who are responsible for developing and evaluating the programs in the Child Care Centre. Workers at this level have responsibility for the supervision of staff, volunteers and caring for children ranging from 0 to 12 years old. This qualification is designed to reflect the highest qualification required at Centre Director or Centre Supervisor Level.

Eligibility

Students are required to have successfully completed Certificate III in Children`s Services the ability to read and write simple documents and collect basic numerical data. You must be 17 years old by completion of the course. You must also undergo a police check for a criminal background in order to work in Childcare as well as a medical certificate with tuberculosis clearance.

How is the course delivered?

This course is available through a Traineeship or RPL Assessment Pathways. You must have at least three years work experience full time in a child care centre to be considered for RPL Assessment.

What is the Cost of this Course?

As this program is government funded the fees are the same as TAFE. Please telephone the Administration Officer for the actual cost. Payment Plans are available.
