Course Enrollment FAQ

How do I enrol?

By simply emailing us with your details and paying the enrolment fee by cheque or direct transfer to our bank account.  Email us for the details. You can also enrol in person at our premises any day of the week during business hours or by telephone.

Can I get a refund on fees I have paid?

Yes, as long as you withdraw in writing within 4 weeks of the commencement of your course. Look at the refund policy on your enrolment form.

Can I go to university after doing a course at National Corporate Training?

Yes, the process of going from TAFE to university or university back to any Registered Organisation Like ours or TAFE is known as `articulation` or `pathways`. If you complete a Diploma or Advanced Diploma course you may be eligible to receive credit for some subjects if you apply for a university degree in the same area of study. You may receive up to 18 months credit for a three-year degree course. You will generally need a credit average in order to gain the maximum credits, but it is important to check with the university.

Can I take a leave of absence from my studies?

Yes, you can defer your studies at any time. The normal withdrawal and refund conditions will apply.

Can I defer my course?

Once you have been accepted into a course, you may decide not to take that place up until the following year - this is called "deferment". Your place in the course will be held for a period of one year. Some courses allow deferment while others do not.

Can I start a course mid-year?

Yes all courses are able to be commenced at any time with National Corporate Training.  We do not have any specific intake times.

How do I apply?

Note: The following information is for Australian residents.

Applications can be made directly to National Corporate Training Pty Ltd at any time of the year regardless of how you wish to complete your course. Simply telephone us and book in for a course.  All courses are able to be commenced each Monday.

When do applications close?

They never close.

Do I have to apply through TAFE admissions?

No.  We are a Private Training College with the same standing as TAFE but we are not bound by their rules and regulations regarding admissions.

How much does it cost?

Our courses covers the tuition fees, all resources, notes, learning materials.  You do not need to purchase text books on top of this cost.  We are very competitive with Government providers.  Email us for specific costs for each program.

Can I get Austudy / Youth Allowance Most full-time courses attract the Austudy/Youth Allowance. There are several other schemes for assisting those who wish to return to study. Refer to the staff for further assistance. What if I cannot afford to pay the fees? NCT offers students financial assistance during their courses. We are able to organise Centrelink to deduct the course fees over the period of the course from your Centrelink payments.  We are also able to offer a payment plan across the period of your course. You need to discuss this with the Administration Officer. How long are the courses? Course length differs from course-to-course. Generally Diploma courses are between one and two years full-time and Certificate II courses are six months full-time. Can I get any exemptions? Exemptions are usually available where a student has completed equivalent studies and/or is eligible for recognition of prior learning.
