Cert II in Information Technology ICA20105
This qualification provides the foundation ICT skills and knowledge for an individual to be an effective ICT user or employee. The qualification has a fundamental ICT knowledge and skills base which is pivotal for all other qualifications in ICA05. The 8 core units contain those basic ICT skills and knowledge required for effective entry into all ICA05 qualifications from Certificate III upwards.
Course Outline
The qualification requires fourteen units to be completed for competency. All eight core units and six elective units must be completed. Three electives must be from those listed, plus another three electives can be chosen from those listed or from elsewhere in the ICA05 training package at Certificate II or III, or a relevant unit from another training package at Certificate II or III.

- ICAU2005A Operate computer hardware
- ICAU2006A Operate computing packages
- ICAU2013A Integrate commercial computing packages
- ICAU2231A Use computer operating system
- ICAW2001A Work effectively in an IT environment
- ICAW2002A Communicate in the workplace
Electives = 6 units
