Assessment

Trainees are required to undergo practical and theory assessments against nationally accredited units of competency to be awarded the qualification. National Corporate Training Pty Ltd prides itself in conducting workplace assessments that are flexible and meet the needs of the client. This is achieved by negotiating the assessment process with the employer to ensure that the time a trainee spends off the job is kept to the bare minimum. This ensures that the traineeship has minimal effect on the productivity of your workforce. A typical workplace assessment will involve the following:

  • Keeping the trainee on the job during assessment as much as possible
  • Utilising flexible assessment methods such as verbal assessments instead of written assessments to further reduce time spent off the job
  • Incorporating the typical workplace tasks the trainee performs as part of their normal job role into the workplace assessment which helps speed up the assessment process
  • Using workplace documents the trainee normally completes as part of their job role for evidence

Visit Schedule

An Assessor from National Corporate Training will support both the trainees as well as the workplace supervisor by making 6 (six) visits in total to the workplace. These visits typically entail the following:

  • Signing up the trainee and providing information to the supervisor
  • Providing the trainee with their learning materials
  • Conducting one-on-one or small group training with the trainee/trainees
  • Conducting on-the-job workplace assessments with the trainee
  • Providing opportunities for reassessment of the trainee
  • Finalising the traineeship
  •

As well as six scheduled visits, the assessor will conduct monthly communications with the trainee and supervisor to ensure any concerns they have are being addressed.
