Half Day Course

Overview

A principal employer or an authorised person may choose to appoint other persons to assist in ensuring compliance with the requirements of the MSI Act and Regulations under Section 44. This can include mine operations sta and contractors in a supervisory position.

The ten principal obligations covered in this course include

• Training and Supervision
• Emergency Procedures
• Registration of Plant
• Risk Management
• Compliance OHS Act and Regulations (WA)
• Delegation
• Mines Inspection S44 and Mines Inspector
• Safety and Health Representative Obligations

Intended for

Supervisors appointed to assist the principal employer or authorised persons in carrying out their duties as specified under the MSI Act 1994 s44(2).

Learning Outcomes

• Identify the nature & scope of a Section 44 Appointed Person under the MSI Act 1994 s44(2).
• Identify the broad responsibilities of Section 44 Appointed Persons
• Understand the specific responsibilities of Section 44 Appointed Persons

Certification

A Certificate of Participation will be issued at the end of the course to those who successfully complete in-class assessment components.

Group Training and Customisation

If you have a team of four or more supervisors we can present the half day program at your organisation. We can also tailor the workshop to be site-specific by integrating your policies and procedures into the training and assessments at no extra cost which will increase the Supervisor’s transfer of learning to their work role.

Need certification in a hurry?

If certification is required immediately to get your supervisors on site, you can choose your own course dates provided you have a minimum of four or can pay for four supervisors.
