NCT

History

National Corporate Training was founded on 6 November 2000 and received RTO status on 3 July 2001.We are greatly honoured to see the business move from the first generation into its 10th year and to the second generation continuing its success.

Our story started in Nov 2000 at home after a barbeque with friends discussing whether we should leave our employment with a government provider of training. We devised the name, National Corporate Training and it was registered on 3 July 2001. It  startedas a home based business in a bedroom and then later the games room and remained there for 2 years.  As the business grew and the house become too small, a dedicated office was built onto a bigger house, thinking this would be sufficient for the business for some time.  By this stage, three staff were employed. After 6 months, the home office was too small and it was decided to lease premises. This was the best decision the Board of Directors had made.  The business has continued to grow and increase by about 400% each year.

Today around 50 course areas are offered to schools for their vocational programs.  Our corporate clients are predominantly in the mining and resources sector. Our corporate training programs range from BHP Competencies, Barrow Island Competencies, Frontline Management, Occupational Safety and Health, TAA, Hospitality and Accounting.

Our Head Office is situated at Malaga WA with an office in Jakarta Indonesia.  Our clients are far reaching from Indonesia to Esperance and out to the Wheat fields and Goldfields, east to Sydney, Melbourne and Townsville.

Each generation brings their strengths and weaknesses and for us as a family business we try to utilise the strengths of everyone involved in the business.  The success of a family business depends upon its ability to achieve this without conflict so that it continues from generation to generation.
